Route #3
Difficulty: DIFFICULTLength: 32 kmDrop: 1.422 m This is David’s favourite trail. It is not recommended for e-bikes or non-expert bikers because there are some technical stretches to be covered on foot or in portage. You set off from the hotel, where you follow the cycle path until reaching the district of Stadio del Ghiaccio. Here, you follow the signs for Fovi and the dirt path through the undergrowth begins, until you reach an altitude of 1,670 m in the hamlet of Baracca della Casara. Then comes the most challenging stretch, the single track that forces even the most experienced bikers like Davide to hop off and continue in portage. After this you reach the altitude of 1,970 m in the hamlet of Dosso di Costalta where you can admire the Mòcheni valley and on clear days, you can even glimpse Austria. After so much climbing, it is time to descend along a technical trail to Malga Cambroncoi, the Redebus Pass and then Malga Stramaiolo. |
